Shipping & Handling
1. Order Processing & Handling Time
All orders are processed and packed within 1-3 business days (excluding weekends and major holidays). Orders placed after 12:00 PM EST on Fridays may not be processed until the following Monday.
Please note that during high-volume periods, such as new collection drops, Black Friday, or the holiday season, processing times may be extended by an additional 2-4 business days. You will receive an automated email confirmation as soon as your order has been handed over to the carrier.
2. Domestic Shipping Rates & Estimates
We offer multiple shipping tiers to suit your needs. Shipping charges are calculated at checkout based on the weight and destination of your package.
- Standard Shipping (5-7 Business Days): Delivered via USPS or UPS Ground.
- Express Shipping (2-3 Business Days): Priority handling. Orders must be placed before 11 AM EST to ship the same day.
- Overnight Shipping (1 Business Day): Available for select locations. Signature may be required.
Free Standard Shipping is valid on all US orders over the threshold advertised on our site banner (after discounts and before taxes).
3. International Shipping, Customs & Duties
We ship worldwide using DHL Express and FedEx International. Please Read Carefully: International orders may be subject to import duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country.
KB Island Wear is not responsible for these charges. These fees are the sole responsibility of the customer. We cannot predict what your particular charges may be. If you refuse a shipment due to unexpected import fees, the cost of the original shipping plus the return shipping cost will be deducted from your refund.
4. Tracking Your Order
Once your shipping label is created, you will receive an email with your tracking number. Please allow up to 48 hours for the carrier's system to update the status. It is common for a package to remain in 'Pre-Shipment' status for a day as it travels to the distribution hub.
If your tracking number has not updated after 5 business days, please reach out to our support team for investigation.
5. Shipping Restrictions (PO Boxes & APO/FPO)
We can ship to PO Boxes, APO, FPO, and DPO addresses using Standard Shipping (USPS) only. Express carriers (FedEx/UPS) cannot deliver to these addresses. Please allow additional time for delivery to military addresses (up to 15-20 business days) due to military handling processes outside of our control.
6. Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Packages
KB Island Wear is not liable for packages that are lost or stolen after the carrier has marked them as 'Delivered'. We recommend choosing a secure delivery location.
- Lost in Transit: If your package is lost by the carrier (tracking stops updating for 7+ days), contact us to file a claim.
- Damaged: If your item arrives damaged, retain all packaging and contact us within 48 hours with photos.
- Stolen: If tracking says 'Delivered' but you don't have it, please check with neighbors and your local post office. We cannot offer refunds for stolen packages confirmed as delivered.
7. Address Accuracy & Redirects
It is the customer's responsibility to review their shipping address for accuracy before completing the purchase. Our fulfillment system is automated, meaning we cannot guarantee address changes once an order is placed.
If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address (e.g., missing apartment number), the customer will be responsible for the redelivery shipping cost. Original shipping fees are non-refundable.
8. Refused Shipments
If you choose to refuse your shipment at the time of delivery, you will be responsible for the original shipping charges and the cost of returning the package to our warehouse. This amount will be deducted from your merchandise refund. We strictly do not refund shipping costs on refused packages.
